Still excited about the new STH issue 256 and after yesterdays terrible Sally Acorn picture. The idea of this was Sally talking to a worried friend showing them the cool sites of Mobotropolis.
I've been doing a bunch of speed sketches until I got happy with the new design..
Think i'm getting better with hand, background is terrible... but best I can do in an hour
Once I got it down I though it was getting late (it's 2:20am when i'm writing this and it was 1:15 when I thought I could make this a OHS)
So I did one last sketch for my latest OHS
Total time 1 hour 4 minutes
Sketch: 13 Minutes
Line art: 25 minutes
flats: 7 minutes
colours: 15 minutes
photoshop filters and finishing: 4 minutes

Inked and coloured in photoshop
using a mouse and an old wacom tablet
as always thought and opnion on the picture are very much welcome, as are thought and feeling on Sally's redesign

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis is amazing!! The shading is very well done! The background looks very good and you must of spent a lot of time on it! Sally looks very good in this picture! Her hair looks very good! I really think you did great on the hands. Her shorts look good and so does her jacket. (I think its a jacket) Her eyes look very nice. As I said you did very amazing and the shading is amazing!!!! You did so very amazing on this picture! I love it!! Sorry I love it to much to see flaws in this picture!
